Movie Entry Document

You could be on your way to Hollywood.  A company is having a contest to determine which motion picture to make a sequel of.  If you win the contest you will be invited to produce the movie, which could get your career up and rolling.

There are two parts to the contest.  In Part 1, you  will use Excel to compare the gross income (money made) and budgets (the cost of making the movie) for 7 different movies of the same genre (love, comedy, horror) that you think would make good sequels.

In Part 2, this information must be presented in a PowerPoint using various types of graphs. (see the rubric for more details.)

An additional part of the contest requires you to survey a sample group of people to get public input into your final decision.  The results of your survey must also be included in your presentation.

Your presentation should conclude with a summary of which movie you would choose for a sequel and why, based on your research data.

Now, return to the HomePage and look at the rubric.
