PowerPoint Layout

Here is the layout you should follow to create your PowerPoint.

Slide 1- Title/Topic

Slide 2- Goal What were you looking to find before researching data?

This should include the goal and the statistics you see as most important. In my example, goal is to make a good sequel. The 2 main statistics y0u are analyzing. Ex. Points per Game, Completions, Goals Scored

Ex- By looking at the Points/Game and Rebs/Game, we want to find the shooting guard that will benefit our basketball team.

Slide 3- Stem-n-Leaf

Print Screen and paste into PPT. Then explain what it tells you. Not the title. The highest and lowest numbers. The range for where the most numbers fall.

Slide 4- Box-n-Whisker

Copy and paste into PPT. Then explain what it tells you. Not the title. Tell the median. Explain quartiles or how the shape of the box & whiskers tells you something about the data.

Slide 5- 1st Graph

Copy and paste graph from Excel. Then explain what it tells you. Not the title. We are looking for specific player statistics that help you make your decision.

Slide 6- 2nd Graph

Copy and paste graph from Excel. Then explain what it tells you. Not the title. We are looking for specific player statistics that help you make your decision.

Slide 7- Pie Chart Over Survey Results.

Copy and paste pie chart from Excel. Then explain what it tells you. Not the title. Tell your target group/your sample group and your results.

Slide 8- Goal Again

Copy and paste your goal from slide 2.

Slide 9- Decision Based on Data

Tell what movie you selected that met your goal. Your decision should be based on the data. The data from the charts means more than people’s survey results. Typically, this is the weakest part of the PowerPoint. Do not only say the name of the player, restate the numbers/statistics that made you select the playervyou are going to make a sequel of.

Now, return to the HomePage and go to the next step.
