Using templates in Microsoft Publisher can save you lots of time. The program comes with some templates already loaded, but many have been placed on the Internet for you. Today, you will be doing something different to see if you can play around Publisher and use skills we have learned before to figure out what to do. Remember you can always use the Help option to look up instructions on how to do things.

You are going to get a template off the Internet today and create a baseball card over anybody that is famous (Doesn’t have to be a baseball player.) Fill in real or fake information on the baseball card.

1) To get your template go to the following address:

http://msauer.mvps.org/publisher_projects2.htm

2) Find where it says Baseball Card Template - Publisher 2000 format 48kb and double click on it.

3) It should open a program called WinZip that opens up Zip files. Hit Open>“I Agree” and double click on the Publisher Icon next to the title baseball card 2.

4) The template will open in Publisher and you should go save as LASTNAMEFIRSTNAMEBBALL.

5) Go onto the Internet and get an appropriate picture of the person that you want to do your baseball card over. Also get information such as Birthdate, Place they live/lived and other little facts of information.

6) Go to the template and fill in the information. Save when finished save as "LastNameFirstInitial"BBALL.

7) After finished go help others!
