Locate the following website-- http://jlsinc.net/ STEP 2. Creating a Vision and a Plan of Action- Pretend you own a house (or you can write about the house you live in).On a separate sheet of paper, take down information about the company, Johnson's Landscaping, and prices of the products. To get ideas about what this company can do, take a look at the various photos in the Ponds, Patios, Planting, Sidewalls, and Steps sections.
STEP 3. Write a letter requesting an estimate to James Johnson, President of Johnson's Landscaping. The letter should ask for more information regarding the landscaping that you would like to have done. In paragraph 1,be specific about what you want and where you want it. Refer to one of the examples shown. In paragraph 2,explain that you have a price limit and what you have estimated as a price for materials. In paragraph 3, request that he write you back by a certain date with a quote for his service. Thank him for his time. STEP 4. Include a table in your letter that lists the items you would like to order for your landscape. Visit their website and devise a list and the prices (taken from their website). Go to Table<Insert<Table. Change the columns to 7 and rows to how ever many items you have included in your order plus one for the column headings. Use the following as a guide for setup:
STEP 5. Add the return address and business address to create a formal letter. Right align your return address (home address), which is the 1st 3 lines of your paper. Hit Enter 2 times to skip lines 4 and 5. Left align the Johnson's Landscaping Address, which is 4 lines instead of 3. You must include the c/o James Johnson line. This part will be lines 6-9. Hit Enter for line 10.
STEP 6. Add the date on line 11. Click on Insert-Date and Time…Choose the day, month, date, and year. STEP 7. Double Space!
STEP 8. Add a footer to your page.
STEP 9. Spell Check! STEP 10. Have someone proofread and make corrections. STEP 11. Save in your profile folder as “LASTNAMEFIRSTINTIAL”LANDSCAPE. STEP 12. Print your letter, sign the letter, attach rubric and place in tray.
