Biography:

After attending the University of Indianapolis, Ann Rosborough was hired at Decatur Township to teach Eastern Hemisphere History on Team 7W. After teaching history for 3 years, Miss Rosborough moved into her current position as a Computer Applications teacher. While teaching, she continued her education and received a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Indianapolis. Today, she continues her education at IUPUI where she is pursuing a new license. She also serves as department chair.

She takes great pride developing our Homework Hall and IMPACT programs. While at Decatur, she has coached middle school and high school basketball, middle school and high school softball, and middle school and high school volleyball.

Outside of school she works part-time as a real estate agent for Keller and Williams. Her real estate team is called www.2agentsandahouse.com. Also, she is an editor for McGraw-Hill. In her free time, she is an avid sports fan, autograph collector, loves spending time with her family and friends and plays on the computer.

Her MySpace page is www.myspace.com/rosbo35. The page is loaded with neat videos of who she has met. She was voted the #1 San Antonio Spurs fan in America in 2005, grew up with her dad at Busch Stadium, and love the Chicago Bears. One of the greatest moments of her life was getting to meet one of her heroes, David Robinson, at center court of the NBA Finals in 2005.

Classroom:

Rules & Expectations

(Respect for oneself, others and the learning environment)

1) Golden Rule! Treat others as you expect to be treated.
2) Students must be in the room when class starts. Class starts when the clock hits that minute. You will be standing the first 10 minutes of class if you are late after the first week.
3) Students will raise their hand if they have a question. Don't bark at me! = )
4) Students are expected to follow the activities on the calendar.
5) Students will not disturb other students, but help each other to create a positive learning environment.
6) Students will not bring backpacks or unnecessary items to class. Expect to lose them if you do!
7) It is expected that students will act in a professional manner in this lab and will not risk any damage to the computers or furniture through negligent behavior. Students who fail to comply with these rules, may lose their computer privileges. 8) Students are expected to put materials and equipment back where they found it and keep their stations clean.

Daily Routine

1. Come straight to class. If you need to use the bathroom or do anything during the passing period, make sure you are not tardy (in your seat before the bell rings). Check the table on the way in for papers to pick up.
2. Students will come into class, get logged on and go to www.dmscompapp.com.
3. Students can go to the calendar and start working on the
typing lesson for the day.
4. After about 5 minutes of typing, I will tell students it is time to go to the calendar and
listen to the daily podcast. As podcasts are playing students are expected to sit an listen. On certain days the podcasts will include steps you must follow, so you must listen.
5. After podcasts finish, students will either be follow
daily activities on calendar or be instructed to roll to front of class for instruction.
6. Students will spend time working on assignments.
7. Students will
turn assignments into tray.
8. Students will be allowed to use the
Finish Early link when they complete assignments.

Absences
It is the students responsibility to check with me after an absence for any missed assignments.

Grading Policy
I will specify the grading criteria/rubric for each assignment. In general, an A is earned if the student puts forth their best effort and completes all parts of each assignment by following the guidelines of the rubric. Grades are lowered if not all the assignment is completed or the student does not use proper technique or does not use their class time effectively. You will be keeping track of your grades also, so at anytime you can figure your grade in Excel. It will be a simple points system!
